world’s best browser? We are looking for an awesome Design System
Engineer to join our User Experience team. You will be contributing to
the Firefox’s Photon Design System in all of its technology aspects. Are
you passionate about enabling others to design and develop thoughtful
experiences? As member of our team you will craft and deploy new
features that will support designers and engineers in their daily work.
As Mozilla Engineer you will:
<ul><li>Develop, maintain and scale the design system website</li><li>Add new functionalities to the icons website</li><li>Build Node modules for delivering design attributes across multiple engineering teams</li><li>Write web components following the documented guidelines</li><li>Collaborate with Firefox Front-End engineers and Firefox for Mobile engineers.</li></ul>
<strong>Your Professional Profile</strong>
<ul><li>Deep understanding of web technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML</li><li>Fluent with the latest web standards including HTML5 and ES6</li><li>Knowledge of the React JavaScript framework</li><li>Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem-solving abilities</li><li>Interest in working in the open and engaging with Mozilla’s global community.</li></ul>
<strong>Pluses</strong>
<ul><li>Knowledge of mobile languages</li><li>Familiarity with design systems</li><li>Familiarity with testing, quality assurance and automation concepts</li><li>Familiarity with Firefox theme API</li><li>Curiosity around the development of internal tools and services.</li></ul>
