>Hello,
>
>I am writing to tell about the possibility of giving 3 free access
>passes for students or people involved in academic activities to
>Kamailio World Conference, taking place in Berlin city center, during
>April 3-4. Should you find it interesting for your organization or
>related groups, please forward this message to the appropriate forums.

>Kamailio is an open source server application used for routing SIP
>messages, the protocol used for signaling in real time communications
>such as voice over IP, instant messaging, presence. Started more than
>12 years ago in Berlin within FhG Fokus research institute, the
>application is currently used by large telephony providers (e.g., in
>Germany: 1&1, QSC or Sipgate). The event brings together over 120
>people, many representing other well known open source projects
>related to RTC, such as Asterisk, Jitsi, FreeSwitch, SEMS, pjSIP,
>sipp, Homer Sipcapture, ...
>
>We are trying to promote the benefits of open source from various
>points of view, such as flexibility, privacy, cost and innovation.
>With these three grants, we want to give the chance to interested
>students to have a closer look at this domain and interact directly
>with developers of these open source projects, but also with companies
>that could offer internships, if that should be of interest.
>
>As part of world wide movement to facilitate participation of women in
>open source (e.g., https://gnome.org/opw/), we explicitly encourage
>them to apply for these grants. However, the level of interest is very
>important, too.
>
>To apply, write an email to conference at kamailio.com describing shortly
>your interest in the area of real time communications and open source,
>whether you interacted with these fields so far or what would be your
>plans to do it in the future. Time is rather short till the event
>starts, therefore don't wait too much to apply, once we get a
>sufficient number of applicants, we are going to select the three to
>benefit of the grants.

>Greetings,
