Boiler Room is hiring a Web Developer 

About Us 
Boiler Room is a music project launched in London in March 2010 that organizes DJ 
performances and Live music sessions in small mostly private locations and then 
streams the show online to a worldwide audience of music enthusiasts. Through Boiler 
Room, online music fans are able to connect with what would otherwise be remote, 
offline music scenes, and form online music scenes, around a specialist music 
broadcast. 

Opportunity 
Be part of building up the Boiler Room engineering team based in Berlin. 
Develop platforms and clients for music discovery enjoyed by millions of music 
enthusiasts with us. Have an impact on how listeners worldwide discover niche local 
scenes or the heavy weights of tomorrow - curated and targeted. Exclusive live 
broadcasted performances and a catalogue of tens of thousands augmented recordings 
lay out the data foundation for building new discovery mechanisms and other 
challenging applications. This is a full-time position in Berlin, Germany. 

Skills We Are Looking For 
• At least one year of experience in developing and maintaining web applications 
• Experienced with JavaScript (AngularJS or similar is a huge plus) 
• Experienced in building and maintaining platforms and APIs 
• Interested in working with technologies such as Varnish, MongoDB, Firebase 
• General Back-End Development skills (PHP, MySQL) 
• General Front-End Development skills (HTML5, CSS3) 
• Understanding of basic usability and user experience in general 
• Interested in applying agile methodologies is a plus 
• You love to solve problems using whatever technology or method it takes 

Salary 
This is a full-time permanent position with a salary on offer which will be commensurate 
with skills and experience, ranging from €25,000 to €40,000 per year.
