ab sofort suchen wir eine neue Person für unsere Werkstudenten-Stelle
mit wahlweise 40 oder 80 Stunden pro Monat in unserem IT-Team.

Da wir im täglichen Betrieb sowieso Englisch unterwegs sind gibt es hier

THE OPPORTUNITY
You will help us in the IT department with operations as well as
development of financial instruments from the ground up. Your source
code and your operational input will be instrumental in building up the
financial infrastructure of the future. You will drive the early and
defining stage of our technical development. In a high-potential
environment, you will be continuously challenged to tackle new and
unfamiliar tasks. You will learn about distributed algorithms, smart
contracts, security of highly valuable cryptographic keys and many more
topics and become an expert on blockchain-based financial products.

YOUR TASKS
- Write source code for our data collection backend, our smart contracts
and our web frontends.
- Help monitoring and enhancing our cryptocurrency wallet security
processes for our assets under management.
- Operate and setup parts of our automated infrastructure for
development and deployment (especially docker, travis and github).
- Ensure that all your finished products are delivered timely and with a
consistent and high quality and always matches values of BlockState.

REQUIREMENTS
- You are a student in Computer Science or related studies.
- Ideally, you have some experience working in company or research group
structures.
- You enjoy programming and are able to learn new concepts. We do not
expect anyone to be fluent in every language but to be able to adapt to
new challenges.
- You are aware of software quality processes and have experience with
git, continuous integration and testing.
- You are naturally curious and want to understand the technical
problems you care about in depth. Specifically, these will be related to
Blockchain technology and the financial markets.
- You don’t back down from a challenge, are able to juggle multiple
tasks simultaneously and are always eager to deliver great quality.

IN ORDER TO EXCEL
- You have a natural interest in digital technology, Blockchain,
cryptocurrencies and the financial markets and already have at least
basic understanding of these topics.
- You only settle for top-notch quality. With an eye for detail you find
every last bug and reject the second-best.
- You own your successes and failures and stay hungry for personal growth.
- You think critically and challenge what those around you say
professionally and constructively, when appropriate and relevant.
- You’re “all in” - you fix broken things and take the load off others
when they need help, even if that entails something other than your core
tasks.
