For our preparation program for prospective engineering students we are looking for
Teachers in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Calculus, Linear Algebra and Basic Informatics
Berlin International College is a private Studienkolleg. We prepare international students without direct university entrance qualification (HZB) in language and subject-specific courses for the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP) or similar examinations and thereby enable them to study at German universities.

  *   Timeframe: 26 weeks between 07. January – 31. August 2019
  *   Number of courses: 3
  *   Class times: Between 09:00 and 16:15
  *   Teaching language: English
  *   Location: Martin-Hoffmann-Straße, close to S Treptower Park
  *   Payment: According to qualification; between 20-30 €/TU (TU = 45 Min)
  *   Type of Contract: Freelancer
  *   Fields:
     *   Electrical Engineering: e.g. Electrical field, Current and Resitence, DC circuits
     *   Mechanical Engineering: e.g. Freebody diagram, equilibrium of a rigid body, plane structures
     *   Calculus: e.g. limits, differentiation, integration
     *   Linear Algebra: e.g. system of equations, matrices, vector product
     *   Informatics: e.g. number systems, operating systems, introduction to programming
  *   Hours:

You can teach more than one subject or course.

     *   Electrical Engineering: 6 TU per course and week (18 TU per week in total)
     *   Mechanical Engineering: 6 TU per course and week (18 TU per week in total)
     *   Calculus: 6 TU per course and week (18 TU per week in total)
     *   Linear Algebra: 6 TU per course and week (18 TU per week in total)
     *   Informatics: 2 – 4 TU per course and week (8-10 TU per week in total)
You will be preparing the students in your subject for an in-house examination similar to the FSP - including exercises, tests and (mock) exams.
Good knowledge of the respective fields in your subject by having at least a Bachelor’s degree, teaching experience of at least one year as well as fluency (speaking and writing) in English is required. Intercultural experience is an advantage.
