Hey students,

At the beginning of my masters, I took the Cloud Computing course (by Kao) and got quite fascinated by the endless possibilities of hyperscalers and distributed systems in general. I applied as a working student in the SAP Cloud department which was one of the best decisions I ever made since you study the stuff which you then actually can apply directly. I graduated from TU and joined them as full-time employee working on Kubernetes based infrastructure. Now we are looking again for new working students (<20h/week). If you want to play around with Python and Go and jump into the universe of containers and orchestrators besides your studies, reach out to me.

The role
As a working student (f/m/d) in one of our SAP HANA Cloud service teams, you will work closely with your teammates in a scrum-based development process. You will support the colleagues in working on the product backlog and operating the SAP HANA Cloud service according to the DevOps principles. You will participate in the team meetings like planning, review and daily sync. You will gain experience in developing high quality software using state-of-the-art technologies in an international working environment. As a student your working hours will be flexible with a maximum of 20 hours each week during the semester based on hourly wage, up to 40 hours during the semester break.

Role requirements
Initial experiences in one or more of the following languages: Python, Golang, Java
Initial experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure or GCP)
Very good language skills in English, German is a plus
Team player, can-do attitude, self-motivated

Good to know
Since we work on infrastructure stuff, your work environment will be Linux or MacOS
We do not work with the traditional SAP systems like ERP, ABAP etc.
You will join a team working on cloud provider infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP mostly), edge-layer (networking, routing) and observability (metrics, logs, traces) topics.
